I am so ready to get started! I have my food program and I'm ready to go. I spent today after meal planning and making a grocery list out shopping for all the foods Ill be using to fuel this machine of mine as I prepare for awesome growth and changes! I also spent a few hours ridding my house of everything that no longer has any business hanging around such a anything processed or sugar containing! The holidays were great but they are now over, with the exception of New Years Eve but I see there was no reason to wait any longer Im ready to take step one! Cleanse the kitchen and stock with the real goods! My refrigerator is filled with Chicken, Turkey, Tuna, Eggs, all kinds of wonderful organic produce etc... I can't wait to feel detoxed and cleansed of the toxic sugar that I've let creep back in to my body this past couple of weeks! How I'm going to do it is by first doing a modified version of 9 day Isagenix cleanse combined with my usual supplements and eating as much whole foods as I can!
My Supplements List: ( I'm not recommending what I take is for everyone, with proper guidance this is what works for me): Fish Oil by Nordic Naturals, Pro-Biotics by Garden of Life, Buffered Vitamin C by Nutricology, Garlic( These first 4 are awesome for everyone!) Tyrosine, Lysine,Glutamine Selenium, 5-HTP, DHEA, ALA, Green Tea, Vit D, and Food Enzymes!
I have gone from getting sick every few months Literally, to it being over a year since I have been really sick with anything that has taken me down. When I feel something coming on I up the good ole Vit C by Nutricology and I swear it goes to battle for me internally!
Training hard for any sport can be extra taxing on the body so it's important to properly supplement so you can help the body not only repair, but build and maintain!
Since my workouts are going to increase in number and intensity over this training period I will have to keep a close account of how I'm recovering and properly refueling with the right foods and supplements at the right times!
This is going to be an awesome journey this time!

Getting Ready for Greatness
My first official blog ever! After turning 40 this year, and celebrating the holidays I have decided upon much thought and planning that I'm ready to challenge myself again by possibly hitting the competition stage in the Spring of 2012. It has been over a year and a half since my last competition and I have spent much time and effort on my health. I've done a lot of research and have worked with a great Natural Doctor name Sheila Panda in Rancho Bernardo. I have not only figured out several things that contributed to such a weakened immune system, such as Thyroid problems, but I have also achieved better health than I thought possible.
Upon really thinking about all the aspects, pros and cons, of competing I decided I'm ready to work at it again, but with a different approach and perspective. I'm giving myself much more time starting at 20 weeks out versus 12 this allowing me to make gradual healthy changes allowing my body to slowly and positively adapt to. I have a great girl whom I'm happy to call friend, Brittany Gaylord helping me again with her wise counsel and knowledge of the industry. She has given me such positive insight in the past and I'm excited to be working with her again! There are some awesome people out there ready to help but few that you can truly say know you and what makes you Go and stay Going strong! Often I'm asked couldn't you just do it yourself since you help others achieve the same thing and the answer to that question is Yes I do believe I could do it on my own, but everyone, even coaches like having a coach or a mentor, a person they to can go to that can help us on those days where things seem unclear and uncertain. I'm so happy to have found such a person for myself as well. Thanks Brittany!
The reason I have chosen to blog this journey is two-fold, I want this to be a journey of Body and of Spirit. My faith is strong and I believe it is what will make this happen. By creating a program of spiritual growth along with the physical I know my success in inevitable! I want to share with any and all of you that want to follow me on this journey! Let me know how you feel and ask questions along the way maybe too I can help you to be successful in your own challenges and plans for this New and awesome year ahead!
